Established in 1999, Mecco were appointed to run all the catering at Planit Events winter and summer productions. That year we also became the official caterers at the Stella Artois Tennis Championships – now known as The Aegon Championships. We are proud that these events continue to form the strong roots of our company. We have also grown and continue to expand, catering at a wide variety of major sporting, corporate, private and cultural events.
In 2005 we constructed 1000 sq m of new production facilities and equipment warehousing in Oxfordshire including 250 sq m of state of the art kitchens. We continue to invest in contemporary tableware and equipment to keep us ahead in the market place.
We specialise in providing innovative, beautifully presented, delicious food, no matter how big the event. Working very closely with our suppliers we endeavor to procure the best possible raw product available. We are renowned in the industry for delivering food of consistently high standards for very large numbers, while managing to reproduce the quality and presentation promised at the pre-event food tastings.
We pride ourselves in our friendly, well trained, cheerful staff. Our terrific full-time team is supported by hundreds of dedicated part-timers recruited directly by Mecco, who support us at both our major, and one-off events. We are passionate about our business and fully relish the challenge of working with our clients to create something very special. Our hands on management style creates a positive team-work environment, and the high percentage of staff returning year-on-year speaks for itself.
